Complete Lawn & Landscape Management Program Compilation of Services

Basic Services

Mowing: Before mowing, all turf areas will be cleared of trash, tree limbs, or obstructions. Turf will be mowed evenly at a height suitable for the species and specific site needs. Areas unreachable with a lawnmower will be trimmed to match adjacent turf height. We do not bag grass clippings; turfgrass research shows that returning clippings to the turf replenishes nutrients—a process called grasscycling, which benefits the environment.

Edging: Borders such as sidewalks, curbs, and driveways will be edged with a mechanical steel blade at each mowing during the growing season. Established bed lines created by vertical trenching will also be edged each visit.

Weeding: Shrub beds, mulched natural areas, and ground cover will be weeded on every visit year-round. We use Round-Up Pro herbicide where safe, hand-pull weeds around shrubs or ground covers, and apply selective herbicides for persistent perennial weeds. While fertile environments will naturally harbor some weeds, we aim to control them without harming surrounding plants. Two applications of pre-emergent herbicide are included in our basic landscape package to prevent weed germination.

Shrub Care: Pruning is an ongoing process, with timing based on each species’ needs for flower production and growth cycles. Priorities are bloom production, structural pruning for healthy growth, and space management. Our staff is trained in the most common landscape plants in Acadiana. For extensive or specialty plantings, we’ll inventory plants and note specific pruning instructions for future visits. Shrubs are fertilized twice a year to promote healthy growth and vibrant color.

Trash Removal: All plant trimmings are removed from the site and disposed of properly. We mulch leaves and pine straw on-site using specialized mowers and dispose of excess debris, especially during fall.

Clean-Up: All hard surfaces, patios, decks, and parking areas are blown clean of debris after each service, including edges along streets as needed.

Pest Management: We treat anthills with insecticide at each visit. While eliminating ants entirely is impossible, we aim to control them. We inspect plants for pests, diagnose issues, and communicate solutions with customers.

Billing: Invoices are issued around the 25th of each month, detailing service dates and charges. Payment is due by the 10th of the following month. A 2% service charge is added for unpaid balances after the 25th. We also accept payment through our invoicing system with a simple click-to-pay option.

Newsletter: Our monthly newsletter provides seasonal tips, watering schedules, upcoming maintenance events, service specials, and updates on Acadiana Landscape staff.

Scheduling: Monthly visit schedules are created according to your contract’s Applications section. Weekly rotations are maintained as consistently as possible, with flexibility for weather, holidays, and Sundays.

Personnel: Your Landscape Maintenance Team consists of an Account Supervisor and a Maintenance Technician, who remain assigned to your property for 6-12 months. We encourage you to interact with your Account Supervisor regarding scheduling, horticultural questions, or add-on services. Billing and scheduling inquiries are managed by our Office Manager. For unresolved issues, you may contact Toby Daigle, the owner.
